Jiwo Academy Celebrates Excellence at 2026 Speech and Prize Giving Ceremony

The Director of Jiwo Academy, Bida, Mr. Musa Ladan, has said parental support remains the foundation of academic excellence and character development, stressing that every child's success depends on a strong partnership between the home and the school.

He made the remark at the academy's colourful 2026 Graduation, Speech and Prize Giving Ceremony in Bida, where pupils, parents, alumni, invited guests and well-wishers gathered to celebrate another successful academic year.

Founded in October 2010, Jiwo Academy has grown into one of the leading private educational institutions in Niger State, known for delivering quality education and nurturing generations of learners with sound academic knowledge, strong moral values and leadership skills.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Ladan expressed deep appreciation to parents for their unwavering trust, sacrifices and commitment to their children's education. He reaffirmed the school's determination to continue providing a learning environment that promotes academic excellence, discipline, innovation and character formation.

He congratulated the graduating pupils and students on reaching another important milestone and urged them to dream big, stay focused, embrace hard work and integrity, and pursue excellence in all their future endeavours.

The Guest Speaker, Professor Sulieman Tanko, Vice-Chancellor of Edusoko University, Bida, commended Jiwo Academy for its remarkable contribution to educational development and the impressive performance of its students. He urged the graduands to remain resilient, disciplined and committed to lifelong learning, noting that determination and good character are essential ingredients for success in today's competitive world.

Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Executive Chairman of Lavun Local Government, Dr. Mohammed Maali, who represented the Executive Chairman of Lapai Local Government, the Special Guest of Honour, and Dr. Kuso Abdullahi (Dan Wadata Nupe), the Executive Director, Planning, Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority.

In separate goodwill messages, the General Manager of Power FM, Bida, Malam Salihu Hassan Dan'Asabe; the Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Malam Muhammad Hussaini Enagi; and the former Director of Communication and Related Matters of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Mr. Peter Kolo, congratulated the graduating class and applauded the management of Jiwo Academy for sustaining high educational standards. They encouraged the graduands to uphold the values of integrity, excellence and responsibility as worthy ambassadors of their school.

The ceremony featured a variety of engaging activities, including cultural displays, choreography, spoken-word poetry, musical performances and the presentation of awards and prizes to outstanding pupils and students who distinguished themselves in academics, leadership, sports and good conduct.

The event once again underscored Jiwo Academy's enduring commitment to raising future leaders through quality education, sound character and purposeful service to society.

The ceremony ended with a raffle draw that saw many guests, parents, teachers and pupils winning exciting gift items in an exercise tagged "Punctuality Reward".
